| "I have major sweat issues with my under arms, as well as, on my face, hands, feet and groin. It is worse at times when I am nervous or under a lot of pressure, but is there regardless. Socially, I do everything to keep this from showing, including wearing sweaters over many shirts, wiping my feet or cleaning them when I wear sandals, and using a deodorant spray for shoes because the sweat creates an odour. I think it is partially hereditary due to the fact that family members of mine have the same issues including my father and mother. I am now looking into seeing a specialist because of your website, it really gave me a feeling of hope that I can really do something about this, and rectify the problem, also knowing that many others have this problem made me feel better. Thank you for your time!" |

"Hyperhidrosis is a disorder that is very much misunderstood by lots of people. I am a high school student and no one understands how much suffering I go through. People either think
I am hormonal, or have anxiety problems.
Neither one is correct, in fact, my sweating problems occur even when I am in my most relaxed mode. I have severe hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet. The funny thing is that when I do exercise, I sweat the least out of all my teammates, my t-shirts are usually dry. I avoid things like church, weddings, and other
gathering that force me to have hand on hand contact. My self-confidence is shot when I
meet new people because I am afraid they will stick out their hand. Yes my sweating occurs
for no reason, but there are other things that set it off as well such as certain materials, stress, excitement, and especially heat. " |

"I was in my late teens when I first started to realize that I had a problem that no one else seemed to have. I would sweat under my arms to the point that it would be wet down to my waist. I finally had the courage to question my Doctor on it and he informed me of this condition called "hyperhidrosis". He prescribed a prescription for me (I can't remember the name now) but there were awful side effects like extremely dry eyes, mouth, skin etc. When I was 19 I had the surgery where they clipped your sweat glands under your arm pits. This worked for approx. 10 years but then I noticed I was beginning to sweat a lot more again and it was getting worse as the years went by. I tried DrySol but that was very irritating to my skin but then I read an article about the BOTOX injections and got the procedure done right away because I was fortunate enough to have it covered under my health plan at the time. The injections worked almost immediately, I did not sweat for almost a whole year. It truly is remarkable. It worked for me 100%. " |

"I am a 17 year old female and had hyperhidrosis on my hands and feet. About a year ago I had ETS-C surgery to correct the sweating in my hands. I am very relieved now to say the least and couldn’t be happier after having gone through with the procedure. I was a dancer for 9 years and the sweatingaffected my dance, my self-esteem and many, many other factors in my life. I highly recommend anyone with hyperhidrosis to be consulted about the surgery. After having my hands ‘fixed’ I am now looking to correct my feet as well. Good luck!!" |

"Hi, starting in about grade seven, I had axillary hyperhidrosis.I spent most of the time worrying about my problem and hiding it in layers of clothing. Drysol worked for a short time, and was irritating throughout. About a year ago, I did my research and found that BOTOX is a non-painful, semi-permanent (about 6 months) solution to my problem. I got an appointment with a dermatologist and got my first set of injections. The results were fantastic; within a few days I had no sweat under my arms. I could wear whatever I wanted without having to panic. It’s like a huge weight has been lifted off me. Sweatmanagement.ca was extremely helpful in giving me information so I could fix my problem. Best, Anonymous." |
